"Honoring God,
                                       Three Keys to Making the
2011 Boots & Bandana Auction Successful"

 T
his year, the Grace Christian School family has adopted a theme of "Honor".  Every day our students are challenged to display honor by 1) Treating others as special 2) Doing more than what is expected 3) Having a good attitude.  Lest we ask anything of our children that we ourselves are not willing to do, it is our desire to conduct the 2011 Boots and Bandana Auction in such a way that we "Honor" Him in every aspect.

First, it is our desire to TREAT THIS EVENT AS SPECIAL.  This event is one of three major fundraising efforts that Grace participates in throughout the year.  It's success is critical for the future of our school, as the revenue generated from the auction helps keep our tuition cost affordable, which is a benefit to all our families.  So, please add this event to your prayer list and join us as we commit this event to the Lord.  Begin to ask God what role you might play in making this event "Special".

Second, it is our goal to DO MORE THAN WHAT IS EXPECTED.  Whether God leads you to participate as a sponsor, a donor, a bidder in our live, silent or online auctions, or simply a prayer warrior for the event; we value and appreciate your support.  It is our prayer that not only will we exceed the expectations of our participant as bidders by providing quality items, but that God will bless beyond expectation, all the parents, friends and businesses that sacrifically give to this event on behalf of our school.

Third, HAVE A GOOD ATTITUDE.  For some of us, we might find this to be the most challenging, as we each have undoubtedly, in some way, been effected by the economic downturn of our nation.  Although, I must remind you that God has not left us to face these trying times alone.  He has given us each other, as a family of believers, to work together to accomplish His plans and purposes.  He has called us as a school to raise $65,000 by conducting this auction.  It's success depends upon us being united together in both spirit and purpose.

So, I challenge you to ask yourself, "How can I HONOR God through my personal involvement in the 2011 Boots and Bandana Auction?"   I look forward to April 30, 2011 as we dust off our boots, kick up our heels and have a HEE HAW good time honoring God for the amazing work He is going to do through our Boots and Bandana Auction. ----Christi Goodman, Auction Coordinator

2011 BOOTS & BANDANA BENEFIT AUCTION
Saturday, April 30, 2011
GCS Activities Center

PRIMARY REASONS TO GET INVOLVED

• To assist Christian parents in providing a sound academic education in a Christ centered environment to their children at an affordable cost.

• To invest in the lives of young people, who will seek to impact the world for Christ, yielding a return that is both eternal and secure.

HOW CAN I HELP HONOR GOD IN THIS EVENT?

PRAY!

• For wisdom for the auction committee and leadership teams.

• How would God have you become involved in achieving our goal.

o Making a financial donation
o Donating a good or service
o Volunteering on a committee.
Contact Christi Goodman @

WHAT DO I DONATE?

•  Many people inquire about what items would be best to donate. Now is the perfect time to invest in seasonal items, such as: trampolines, swingsets, backyard waterslides, gas grills, patio furniture, etc. These items can be purchased in the off season at a fraction of the cost they would normally be closer to the auction.  Some retailers may be willing to simply make a donation of items such as these simply to relieve their inventory.

GET INVOLVED!

• God often uses ordinary people to do extraordinary works. The success of this auction in largely dependent on two things:

1) God’s favor
2) Your involvement

Whether God leads you to participate as a volunteer, a donor or a bidder in our silent, live and/or on-line auctions, or better yet…all three…we hope you will not miss being a part of helping us "Honor" God, as we seek to make the 2011 Boots and Bandana Auction the best yet.
