AUCTION RULES
Upon entering the event venue, all guests will be given a Bidder Number at the registration table. To bid on an item in the Silent or Live Auction, please use your Bidder Number.
Your signature on the registration form constitutes a legal contract to purchase any items for which you are the highest bidder. All bidders must be 18 years of age or older.
All sales are final. There will be no refunds or exchanges of any items.
GCS has endeavored to catalog and describe the property correctly but all property is sold “as is”. GCS neither warrants nor represents, and shall in no event be responsible for the correctness of description, genuineness, authorship, or condition of property. No statement contained in the catalog or made at the sale or elsewhere shall be deemed to be such warranty, representation, or assumption of liability for tax purposes or for general value.
GCS reserves the right to withdraw any item from sale prior to the call for bids. The auctioneer also reserves the right to auction off items not necessarily in the order they appear in the catalog.
Successful bidders are required to pay for all items before leaving. Cash, check, credit and debit cards are accepted.
Unless otherwise indicated in this catalog or on the gift certificate, all auction services or gift certificates must be used by April 15, 2024.
All experiences sold at the auction are to be undertaken at the sole risk of the purchasers, and GCS shall not be liable or responsible in any way for the loss, injury or damage to or in respect to any person or property however caused or arising.
The Internal Revenue Code permits you to deduct the amount you pay to GCS that exceeds the value of the items or service you purchase.
Buyers should contact donors within 30 days to arrange for dinners, tutoring, overnights, and other services.
Live auction items donated after the publication deadline date of this catalog are not listed in this catalog.
Please see Auction Rules above. The Silent Auction sections will be open for bidding at 5:00 PM. The Silent Auction will close Section 1 at 6:20 PM and Section 2 at 6:25 PM.
To bid on a Silent Auction item, please enter your bidder number and the amount of your bid on the bid sheet with the number that corresponds to the number of the item. Please make sure writing is legible. If the bid is not legible or questionable, the item will go to the next highest bidder.
Minimum amounts of opening bids must be observed if specified. Bid raises must be in whole dollar increments. Bids not following the minimums specified will be disallowed. In the event of a dispute, an auction official will act as the final authority.
Please bid promptly, then step back after making your bid to allow free access to other bidders.
Silent Auction closing times are approximate and will be announced. Auction officials will close tables at the announced time and have the right to disallow any bid made after the closing. Please do not remove any items from the table if you notice you have the final bid. Once you have paid and receive a paid receipt, you may retrieve your items.
